Halloween is only a short two weeks away! (Boy, does time fly.) Perhaps your little one has already decided they want to be Cinderella or Tiana or Aurora, and you already have the costume on deck. Or maybe you’re like me who procrastinates every year getting their kids’ costumes and still haven’t decided on what to dress your little one up as yet. Whatever the case, we’re here to make things a bit easier by providing you with this nifty guide to dress up your child like their favorite Disney Princess.
First, you will need to find the perfect Disney Princess costume that speaks to your little princess’ desire. Whether it be Princess Jasmine, Elena of Avalor or Pocahontas, the outfit is everything. My daughter has decided she’s opting for the purple dress this year and dressing up as Rapunzel. But she notes, “No tower included, please!”
Next, your munchkin will need hair accessories fit for a Disney Princess. Townleygirl carries the ideal 8-piece Disney Princess Hair Accessories set which comes complete with two hair bow clips; a hair brush with an image of Ariel, Belle, Rapunzel and Cinderella’s castle at the handle; two snap clips; two bobby pins; and of course, the all-important piece that a princess could not do without, a sparkly pink tiara. This set also works even if you’ve planned on purchasing a wig to go along with your princess’ costume. What’s also great about this 8-piece set is you could keep it to play dress up at a later time and invite all of your child’s fellow Disney Princesses.
Then, a pair of shoes fit for royalty will be needed to round out your princess’ outfit. Unless your little one is anything like my 4-year-old who says she plans to wear her prettiest sneakers.
Finally, don’t forget that a Disney Princess needs to trick-or-treat in style. You can choose a Disney Princess trick-or-treat bag or treat bucket that comes equipped with every princess from Belle to Ariel to Sofia the First.
Now, go off and enjoy. Have a fun and safe Halloween, princess!
